Cozy Up to Change | The Essential Fall Life Reset
OK, my beauties, here it is: the life reset you never knew you needed—Fall Edition. But before we dive in, let’s set the scene, shall we? I want you to create a space that feels cozy, warm, and inviting. We’re about to romanticize the next three months, so grab your favorite fall drink. Maybe it’s a frothy chai latte, a creamy pumpkin spice, or a decadent hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and cinnamon. Sip it slowly as you settle in—whether that’s at your desk, on your couch wrapped in a plush blanket, or lying in your favorite comfy chair. Let yourself feel at ease, yet focused. We’re setting the mood, but we’re also about to get to work.
You’ll need a calendar or planner—I personally love using Goodnotes to map out my months, but if you don’t have one, a simple piece of paper and your favorite pen will do just fine. Now, let’s take a moment to list out what you want to accomplish before this year is over. Whatever goals you made at the start of the year?
There’s still time to make them happen.
We’re not waiting until January to reset.
The time to start is now.
Reflect on Gratitude
Before we fully look forward, take a moment to reflect on the months behind you.
What are you grateful for?
What lessons did you learn?
Gratitude shifts your energy, aligning you with abundance, and opening you up to receive the changes that are waiting to come.
Create Your Fall Bucket List
Start by writing down a bucket list of things you’re truly excited about. It doesn’t have to be complex—maybe it’s trying a new recipe, going on a scenic fall hike, or finally starting that passion project you’ve been dreaming about. Make it a mix of small, achievable goals and those big dreams that really light you up.
Prioritize What Matters
Now, think about what areas of your life need the most attention this fall. Is it your career, your relationships, your personal growth? Choose 1-3 areas that are calling for your energy right now. These are your priorities. Once you’ve chosen them, turn them into SMART goals—specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound.
What I love to do is choose a theme word for the season—something that will guide my actions and decisions. Maybe for you, it’s growth, or nurture, or balance. Fall is the perfect season to align with your intentions, so pick a word that resonates with the energy you want to bring into your life.
Declutter + Organize
As the season shifts, it’s time to declutter and refresh your space. Organize your home, your workspace, even your wardrobe if it needs it. Think of it as clearing the slate so you can welcome in new energy for the fourth quarter of the year. Don’t forget to prepare your space for the cozy fall aesthetic—add warm blankets, candles, maybe some dried flowers or pumpkins.
And listen, it’s not just about physical clutter. Do a digital detox too. Clean out your inbox, organize your files, unsubscribe from those annoying emails that just add to the noise. Reduce your screen time, or set boundaries around your social media use. We’re elevating ourselves, beauties, and that means making space—physically and mentally—for what truly matters.
Reassess Your Daily Routines
Ok, now this is actually one of my favorite parts. You know every season calls for new rhythms, right? And so as the days get shorter, your routines should adjust too. Cultivate your morning and nighttime rituals to be more aligned with mindfulness, self-care, and wellness. Maybe it’s more cozy moments with tea and journaling in the morning, or winding down with a hot bath and a good book in the evening.
Find that balance between productivity + relaxation. I know for me, I’m so productivity-focused that I have to use tools like the Pomodoro method to remind myself to pause and rest. But remember, relaxation isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. And while you’re at it, get back into hobbies that energize you. What’s been lighting you up lately, and what’s been draining you? Take note.
Prioritize Wellness
With the weather cooling, it’s time to focus on warm, nutrient-dense foods—think hearty soups, roasted veggies, and soothing herbal teas. Create a meal plan that nourishes your body and supports your energy levels this season.
And let’s not forget fitness. If you’ve let your workout routine slip over the last few months, now is the perfect time to ease back into it. Try new things—whether it’s outdoor hikes, yoga (I can’t recommend it enough), or a workout class that excites you. And with less daylight, prioritize restful sleep. Your energy is everything, so a solid nighttime routine that helps you wind down is essential.
Reconnect with Loved Ones
Fall is a beautiful time to reconnect with the people who truly uplift you. Reach out to friends or family you haven’t spoken to in a while, and reassess the boundaries in your life. Pay attention to how people make you feel. It’s OK to distance yourself from those who drain your energy—you need to protect your space, especially as we head into a new year. Some people simply aren’t coming with you into 2025, and that’s perfectly OK.
So, beauties, as we wrap up this Fall Reset, I want you to feel empowered. You have everything you need within you to finish the year strong, with fresh energy and a clear vision. Let’s romanticize these next three months—let’s reset, refocus, and elevate who we are.
